Need Help with Macro Compile Error

I have Excel 2016 and I export a list of checks from my accounting program. I recorded a macro to make the adjustments to the file - formatting, columns, etc. I had no problem in an older version of Excel with this, but now in Windows 10 and Excel 2016 when I record it fresh, I am getting an error message when I try to run it. So far it's highlighting the first line which looks like it's where I select the header row and delete it. Then I insert a column in A1 and put in my Routing number and copy it down, then I format the date and add a column for the code 320. That's pretty much it.

I don't understand what the problem is.

Hi Carla,

Not sure what you have going on here, but there are things in this code which make me ask how it ran at all. Can you attach a sample workbook with a description of what you would like to happen. It should be very easy and straight forward.

There seems to be a lot of stuff missing. I took a guess based on what you've got. Not sure about bottom 3 lines so I commented them out

Here is my sample workbook. I will try pasting your code and post the results, but my question is this - what is it now so complicated? Prior to 2016 version, I could click record, do my thing, end record and the macro was made. I have never had to mess with code.

Am I doing something wrong to complicate the process?

I pasted your code over mine and I didn't get an error but when I did CTRL Shift J nothing happened. I saved it all and came back in. I noticed that now in 2016 version I have a Personal spreadsheet popping open in addition to whatever else I'm working on. That's new.
