    Opening a word document from inside an Excel spreadsheet

    Hi

    I'd like to be able to open a word document from inside an Excel Spreadsheet. First of all, is it better to have Word open or does that not matter? Since I am not conversant in VBA I tried to do it by recording. Not successful. Can anyone help? The two files will be in the same folder.

    Since both files are in the same directory.

    Avoid using Select, Selection and Activate in your code. Use With ... End With instead.
