Importing Multiple HTML Tables into Excel/CSV

    Hello all,

I have a local folder filled with around 4500 html files, each one contains a single table and are formatted in the exact same way just with different data in the rows. I'm looking for a way to import these tables into one excel worksheet so that we can filter and search the data. I found a similar query which is what drew me to the website (I can't post the link but the thread is called "VBA to import multiple HTML files into a single tab") but this simply takes the text value of each html into a single column, not keeping to the table format/rows.

I know with something like this I would most likely have multiple table headers getting imported as rows, but I don't mind going through and removing those as duplicates after this has been done.

With this I'd be looking for the import to work it's way through each html file in the folder and carry on adding the rows where the last one left off.

The data will not be being updated and this is purely for reference and searching purposes. The data does contain phone numbers and dates which would need to remain in place.

Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks.

There are over 4000 separate html files, is there something I can do when opening one that will record it and allow it to process against all the files at once?

    Hello HammerNotFound,

If you can post one of your HTML files as an attachment, I can pull together a macro for you. Also, if you can post a picture of how the files will look on the worksheet after being imported that would be great.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross
