    array practice

    Dear Pros,

how would you solve the issue in the attachment with arrays?

IŽd like to make a text or value compare in column E. And if there is a match I would like to increase the value next to it by 10
and print the value in column F...

    thank you for your help!

    Sorry for off-topic interjection:

Although there is no official rule regarding this behaviour, we request that wherever possible both the question AND the answer be provided in substantive detail here within the thread. An attached workbook is an excellent aid for posing a question and offering a solution, but solely doing that with no in thread explanation makes it difficult for researchers to understand or consider the Q & A of this thread without downloading what may be a pointless doc to them, if they can do that at all. Doing that also hides the content from search engines so others may never benefit from this.

Do you mean "array variables" by writing "array", or just a certain area of the sheet in the form of a table/range/array ?
This can be done without array variables ...

    Re: array practice

wow thanks a lot porucha vevrku!
yes I ment the last one!

    thank you a lot!

I often hear that working with arrays like your third solution is the best way because it is faster..but for me your second solution is so much easier...

I would still have one question: what exactly does your last line? and how?
I see that if I comment it out all the values are the first value (138).

thank you for your kind help!!
