formula to replace numbers 1-0 with text, say "pharmocist"

I would like a formula that converts a number to text, then converts that text number string into a replaced text following a user replacement string, say pharmocist. could that even be a custom format option? example: replace calculated number 4.51 in say cell b6 with r.mp (from the pharmocist code) I see the convert number to text, and the replace function, but the replace function only works with 1 string number at a time.
