    Splash Screen Disable ?

    .
Excel 2019 has a minimize button on the splash screen :

There is also a setting in the OPTIONS that direct the splash screen to not show :

For some reason the OPTION SETTING is not working here. That made we wonder if there is a VBA macro
that would disable or minimize the splash screen ... especially since it has the minimize button ?

Or is there a REGISTRY setting that would do the same ?

I am aware of the " /e " switch that can be used for EXCEL.EXE .... but this doesn't carry through to opening a workbook. At least not here.

    Suggestions ?

    Re: Splash Screen Disable ?

    .
I've located the answer between the MS Support site for Excel and the HELP file in Excel itself.

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE" /e "C:\Users\YOURCOMPUTERNAME\desktop\YOURWORKBOOKNAME.xlsm"
The hardest thing was locating the executable for EXCEL. It wasn't where MS said it should be. Pretty easy after finding EXCEL.

The " /e " switch turns off the start up form ... when used in combination with the path to the specific workbook ... NO START UP FORM !!!

You'll need to create a NEW SHORTCUT to the workbook you want to open. Then use the above command in the path requested for the shortcut.

    Cheers.

    Re: Splash Screen Disable ?

Hi Logit, i know its a old thread i was googling for a solution and came across this solution and its great. However is there a way to do it on a TEMPLATE from the network? since it shares and it specifies the exact file while templates users the next number up, was wondering if there would be a solution, maybe something like this:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE" /e "C:\Users\YOURCOMPUTERNAME\desktop\YOURWORKBOOKNAME(1).xltm" notice the extension and number
becasue it dont allow me to open on 2 computers at the same time when the template is for a network share.
