WorkbookConnection.Refreshing not triggering in a while sleep(1000) loop

"wc.OLEDBConnection.Refreshing is the only ".Refreshing" member I can find. If I breakpoint or Control-Break, the return value changes to FALSE as expected. Otherwise the counter just increases forever (minutes) instead of 15 seconds expected.

I am using Excel 365 on Windows 10 Pro/64.
