Copy column with merged cells to another sheet

Unmerge the cells.

Merged cells create more issues than they are worth. Excel does not handle merged cells well.

Learn to live without them.

so there is no way to raw copy and paste

I'll look for a means but ... AVOID MERGED CELLS AT ALL COST. Either in the beginning or somewhere
down the line, merged cells will create havoc. This is not my opinion .. it is the view of most everyone
who uses VBA or EXCEL Formulas.

For example ... copying your current data as is :



D12 F12 G12 H12 I12
D13 E13 F13 G13 H13 I13
D14 E14 F14 G14 H14 I14
D15 E15 F15 G15 H15 I15
D16 E16 F16 G16 H16 I16
D17 E17 F17 G17 H17 I17


The E12 gets left out.

I looked at a dozen or more websites that speak to copying/pasting merged cells.

They all advise against merged cells to begin with.

Then they continue on with explaining how you can unmerge the cells before copying and pasting.

Several went in to great detail discussing why cells should not be used as the data they contain may
look good to the user but they are a bear to work with via VBA and Formulas.

So ... no ... I could not locate anything that talks how to copy and paste merged cells.

No 1 priority. Get rid of the merged and merged and center cells as mentioned by Logit.
