Categorizing a data set in accordance with a master list

    Hey guys!

I’ve got a set of entries that I need to divide into two group in correspondence with a master list on another sheet. Each entry consists of a product name and a product number, and each product belongs to one of two groups. In the data set there are also entries that are not present in the master list and should be put into a separate category. The master list will be changed continuously. The example is attached. I added coloring to make it more understandable, but it’s not needed in the file. Is there any simple way to do that, or do I need to use VBA here?

    Thank you!

Re: Categorizing a data set in accordance with a master list

Thanks! This is exactly what I needed! 😊
Now I’m trying to understand what I need to change in the code so that not 2 values in each line of data sheet are categorized, but 3 (for example, product code, name and quantity). Could you please explain?
Also is it possible to add some lines and little formulas after sorted data sets? For example, sum of column c (quantity) in the first line after the categorized data, empty cell in the second and the first line minus the second one in the third line. Example is attached.
