Looking for a way to sum a pre-selected vertical range.

    Hello All,

I am looking for a way to sum a pre-selected vertical range and output the sum in the cell immediately below the last cell in the range.

This is the code I have for selecting the range, and it cannot be changed:

    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Thanks for your relpy. I suppose it could be changed. I'm essentially trying to combine two reports of an identical structure (headers, labels, etc.), but with varying amounts of data. Basically, in order to find the first cell of the range that I need summed, I have to use a cell in column "D" that reads "Long Common Stock USD," and then go over 22 rows and down 1 row. I then need to select all data from that row down to the final row in the column that has data as a range, sum that range, and then place the summed total in the cell below the last row. This operation needs to be performed in the middle of the document (in a section with data and blank cells both above and below it) so that sort of limits my options.
