which version of Excel under office 365 or under Microsoft 365 should I get?

Hi all excel users - I need some advice on which Excel to get under the Microsoft Office product umbrella - 365 Home, 365 Business, Standard, Premium...etc. Are there functionality differences?
I am a power user, so i think. I want everything under the sun in terms of functionality. Thanks in advance for your help.

Nobody can answer this for you. Only you can know by looking at the comparisons online.

I did look at the product comparisons online, but there is no detail regarding functionality differences between the different products. I thought this forum is for excel users to share their experience in using this very product - Excel. I am sure people would like to know.

In terms of the apps themselves, if you get the app, you get all its functionality. Only the cheapest offering, which has just the classic desktop apps, is different in this respect. All the the other packages have the premium apps.

The only other consideration is post-purchase, and that’s whether or not to sign up for the insider channel to get new functions as part of the beta programme.

I don't know of a complete list, but I know that some functions are reserved for O365 subscribers (like MAXIFS() and MINIFS(), but not SUMIFS() or AVERAGEIFS() as those were introduced in 2007, though the documentation says differently). As AliGW noted, some of the newest functions get limited to "insiders" until Microsoft is ready to extend them to a broader community.

I haven't found a better, more concise list. When I want to know what functions are available in which version, I start here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...rs=en-us&ad=us The version where a function was introduced (if 2010 or later) is given in the list. Then read the individual help files to see if a function is hidden behind the O365 subscription wall.
