I use Form controls as a filter on a summary page, I was wondering if you could use Shapes, as these are easier to customise? Thanks

You can assign a macro to a shape, but whether than is doing the same as the form control is hard to say with the limited information provided.

What type of control are you using and how is it 'filtering' the summary page?

Whether it be a combo box, option button or slicer. I would use those to drive the data on the summary sheet depending on what has been selected. Data can be formulated or chart driven. So these filters could be on let’s say a division.

Form control has a linked cell that drives the selected option, Slicers can be linked via connections to make interactive filters, whereas shapes don’t. So was wondering if it was at all possible to apply the same principle to a shape? This is just a question I was wondering about.

The link between shape and worksheet is one way. The contents of the cell can be displayed as the text of a shape.

As mentioned you can assign a macro and that macro can store information and react to it and as well as other information.
