    why isnt instr("198.40",Application.DecimalSeparator)>0

    Hi, i have a string that has numbers in it..........like this "198.40"

    my decimal separator is a period "."

    so why isnt this instr value greater than 0

    "instr("198.4",Application.DecimalSeparator)"
