EXCEL Macro Buttons lose assignment, switches to another macro assignment periodically

Every now and again, when I'm in excel and click on my macro button, it runs a different macro. For example the original macro assignment I chose was Macro A, assigned to a button. It works for a long time. Then months later, for some unknown reason, the system reassigns a different macro to the same button when it should run Macro A, it'll run Macro B. Looking at the assignment it shows Macro B. How do I stop this from happening please?

sounds to me like one of your co-workers is playing a trick on you. I've never seen this question asked, ever.

Hi Adam! I wished it was a co-worker playing a trick because I would password protect it. However, no other co-worker knows how to do anything with macros nor macro buttons. I've searched forum for a solution but I too had never seen this asked before. It's no fun to reassign them all. Have a great day!
