    Lookup formula that is restricted to names

    Hi,

    I am having trouble coming up with a formula to look up the characteristics of two depths in one table from two depths in another table; the formula below works if the point ID is the same, however I need something that can work across all point ID's, and was wondering if a VBA or a macro might be the solution (see attached table 2 for formula, and Table 1 for the characteristic/origin location).
