    Disable worksheet rename

    Hi
I want to disable the worsheet rename functionality. I have already disabled the "rename" functionlaity in the "Edit" menu and shortcut menu. but when double click on the sheetname tab, still I can rename the sheet.

How can I prevent the renaming by double click on sheet name tab?

    Thanks

Protect the Workbook (not the worksheet). Go to Tools > Protection > Protect Workbook. Make sure 'Structures' is checked, set a password and confirm the password.

Now you won't be able to add/modify/delete sheets or change workbook settings, but the worksheet cells will remain unprotected. (Unless you protect the Worksheet(s) too.)
