Closing a Word document without saving

From Excel I have generated a Word document and saved this as a PDF file. I now wish to close the Word document without saving.
I have tried the code below but the Word document remains open!

What code should I be using?

Comment out the On Error and see what happens when you run the close.

That was the whole point. The On Error was masking the failure; now you can see it ... and fix it. Just because you hide the error doesn't mean it avoids or ignores the problem ... nothing happens.

That doesn't look like it would be a temporary file.

New quick method:
Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved. To undo, select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.

Or you can use this way:

How to mark a thread Solved
Go to the first post
Click edit
Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
Change to Solved
Click Save
