Hi everyone,
Obligatory disclaimer: I've been poking around in VBA for two weeks now, suffice to say that I am by all rights a master. -See: "Dunning-Kruger effect"- In my impatience to achieve my goal I have cherry picked the information I assumed relevant and forsaken all else, relying on my critical thinking skills to fill in the gaps. Obviously my strategy was hugely successful and my presence here most definitely does not signify otherwise.
With the introductions out of the way, let us begin.
For brevity's sake, I'm making a cutsheet template. I want the user to be able to click the "O-let" button to place an outlet shape on the pipe (currently you need to select a cell, then click the button. I'd like to be able to do that the other way around, but it doesn't really matter.)
This action prompts userform "outletbox" to initialize, show, manifest, apparate... At this point as long as it works I don't care.
The user fills out the fields, presses the command button "ADD", aaaaaand.... I'm stuck
Specifically, I want the data from the "txtlength" box to populate inside a shape ("plotpoint" shape) in relation to the previously spawned outlet shape (above it).
Oh! Apparently my combo boxes no longer show their choices. Definitely the computer's fault, not mine...
I'm hesitant to upload my workbook for fear the frankencode it contains will bring great dishonor upon my family, and confuse the hell out of any potential good Samaritans. Oh well..
Thanks in advance for trudging through the ramblings of this young man.
