    excel crashes on restart

have a modest sized sheet with a real time data link to third party software (RTD addin) and calculations done using a maths addin. The sheet works fine until I exit it. It works happily ofr days at a time Then when I try and restart it, It seems corrupted or something and just hangs on calculating x threads 62%

i can kind of restart the thing by re-saving it from another machine via google drive. How do i investigate why the thing crashes? It seems to be the actual act of saving it on this machine corrupts it or something. why would that be. Only other thing to mention is thta it is running on a windows server installation. Is that a problem?

    Thanks in advance.
