Converting Custom Formatted Cells into raw Data

Hi everyone!

I currently have custom formatted Cells all in C1:C300. The Custom Format is in sections, so C1:C100 would have "US" as the custom format, followed by numbers, it looks like:

US1
US2
US3
etc.

But the data inside is actually just the numbers 1,2,3. C101:C200 would have a new letter combination, like M or O, like:

O1
O2
etc.

I want the data to be copy and pasted with the lettering inside. I want to use vlookup formulas to find these "Unique Identifying" numbers, but the vlookup only sees the numerical values and not the unique lettering attached.
