Automate Internet Explorer to auto save as file after download

is there anyway to make Internet explorer automatically Save As a file that has been download? i already have working code to run a report through IE and download the file. i get stuck when IE prompts you to choose Open, Save/Save As, or Cancel the file. i want IE to remain hidden, and I don't want to have to manually choose a save option.
