    Remove the excel ribbon

I am using the following link to get custom excel ribbon on my workbook.

    https://www.rondebruin.nl/win/s2/win001.htm

When I have to send the excel file to another user, I want to preferably NOT have those custom ribbon on the workbook and also the macros associated with them.

How can I do that in an easy way.

    Re: Remove the excel ribbon

You can't, you will have to same a copy and then remove that section from the copy.
Its in the xml section of the workbook.
You could also write code to create a new workbook and then copy all the worksheets to that new workbook

    Thanks Keebellah.

I knew that this would require to have the change in the XML section of the workbook, was of the opinion that there could be some VBA code to change XML as well.

    THanks again.

    Re: Remove the excel ribbon

As the macros/ribbon buttons are not required in the workbook you pass on does it not make sense to move those into another workbook, or addin?
Then adjust your code so it works for an external workbook.

    Re: Remove the excel ribbon

Not sure if that what you are after,

There can be a wayaround on this.

If you make a new workbook, copy all sheets to the new workbook and then new workbook can be saved which might help you fix the problem.

    Re: Remove the excel ribbon

The idea would be, like Andy proposed, is to convert it to an Addin (xlam) file and then run the code from there on the workbook without the macros and custom ribbon settings.
If you need help with that your may attach your file with the xlm code and macros
