VBA error "Error 1004

I have a strange problem with vba/excel. I am working with a colleague with the same excel file via internal network and while executing vba I regularly get this message (see image).
My colleague never gets this error but I do regularly. We both work with a DELL pc with excel 2016 and I have a backup DELL with 2010 wherever this problem occurs.

It is very little information I can offer you but I hope there is someone who can help us with this.

I can send you the excel file but there are a lot of network addresses here so this will never work for you.

Please clarify, do you mean you sometimes encounter the problem but on other occasions you don't?

And are you only getting the problem when you use the Backup Dell PC. If so it suggests it may be some hardware difference. With the Bakckup Dell can you open other files without a problem?

Yes, that is correct. Sometimes I don't have a problem but the next day suddenly I do. And this is on both DELL's

the error 1004 is a very insidious.

Often it depends on the nature of the variables involved where the problem occurs.

And once it happened to me with an excel file written with the 2016 version but which was not compatible with excel 2010.
