Do you mean that you want to do a VLOOKUP in another file, and the name of the file where you want to do the lookup is based on the date in row 1?

That is right, for example for column G im pulling a VLookup from Daily 10-28-2020.xlsm
The challenge with this is that you will want to use the INDIRECT function, but if you use INDIRECT you will get an error unless 'Daily 10-28-2020.xlsm' is open and I'm guessing in your situation it will not be open. The only other option involves macros in some form. I would use a macro to write the formula for direct access. I can help with that if you want to go that direction.
Could you please assist with the macro. Thank you
Can you attach your file? See yellow banner at the top of the page.
Please see attachment .
This assumes that your external files use mm-dd-yyyy as the naming format. Whenever a date in row 1 changes, the formulas in that column will be updated to reflect the date.
Do you insert columns with new dates, or just change dates in the existing columns?
The file is a little bit of a mess in column E because I did some testing but do not have the files this references, so could not really conduct a complete test, so some formulas have changed to invalid dates.
