If column a = column c then use value in column b

Hey, when the value in column A equals some value in column B, then I would like to use the value in column B, which states whether someone is male/female. When there is a value in column A that does not correspond to a value in column C, I would like to delete that data/not use it. Does someone know how to do this in excel, for example by using macros? Please see the attached dataset. Thanks in advance!

    Hi Jesperdegr,

I assume you made a typo at the start and you mean when the value in A equals C ? The example is also confusing, because there is no row where A = C unless you mean if the value in A matches ANY row in C? I also don't know what you mean by "use", but it is possible a formula will work depending on what your needs are.
In D2, I put this formula and then copied down:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

Hey Arkadi! Thanks for your response, I did not make a typo, I actually meant to use the value in column B when the value in A matches any row in C.

    Hi Jesperdegr,

I meant the start of your post: "Hey, when the value in column A equals some value in column B"
However, it does not matter... I believe I understood what you meant. Did the formula help? Or do you want something else?
