Refresh All code not working

Dear All,

I have an external connection which fetches data from an external OLEDB connection. After the data is fetched I need to refresh few other pivots to reflect the fetched data.

Now I have the code

Sub Workbook_RefreshAll()
ActiveWorkbook.RefreshAll
End Sub

But with this it updates the connections but NOT the pivot tables. I can not uncheck the option of "Enable background refresh". It is greyed out. Could you please help? Need to fix this with a better solution than refreshing manually all pivots or running the Refresh All code twice.

I tried all the research before posting here. Its an OLAP connection. I cant modify in the connection properties. I dont think a hard coding will also work.

OLAP and OLE are 2 different things, aren't they? OLE is an MS concept. it WAS heavily used in ms access files for a long time. but I don't think much anymore. this is all I know:
