Hi everyone,
I understand that you cannot write my code for me, but I am just a bit stuck on even where to begin. If you can point me in the right direction, that would be great. I am working on an exam booking calendar database for work to replace the existing simple but annoying one we've got.
On the first tab, I have a calendar display and it is conditional formatted. So red if the day is booked full, and green if not full, gray if there're no exams on that day. Now we have two exam rooms and remote exam option. Each exam room can only accommodate 12 people and no limits for remote.
I have managed to make a form of sort next to the calendar where people can pick the days where there are exams and the table shows who have been booked on these days. The table shows:
- Name
- Exam to be sat
- Status (Confirmed, booked, cancelled)
Ideally, what I want to do is:
- This form can also be a data entry form. So people look at the date, see there is availability, put in the names, click save and the new data only is fed into a database. obviously later on, if people go into this date again, they'll see the newly updated names as well.
- If a learner cancels, I can go onto the database, change their status to "Cancelled" and this learner won't show in the list.
- Limit the number of entries/ seats if they are in person exams, so only 12.
I know this sounds super complicated. I think I might have bitten off more than I can chew. Work didnt ask me to do this, but I have the form we have now and I want to make some improvements.
Any suggestions and feedbacks are appreciated.
Thao
