Hi there,
I've seen similar things solved in other threads, but I have no idea how to tweak/adapt the macros to suit the exact problem that I am currently dealing with. Hoping that one of you smart peeps can lend me a hand!
I have this column with data values all in a row, with each item in a separate cell: name, hometown, and major. I am trying to manipulate the data so that I end up with three different columns for the three values. Of course, I would like the corresponding name, hometown and major to all be in a row. The issue that I've encountered that makes this really difficult with traditional formulas is that a decent amount of the people have multiple majors (typically 2 if they have multiple). Therefore, the pattern of 3 cells in a row having the correct, corresponding info is quickly broken. The only thing that distinguishes the majors is italics formatting, so I'm hoping that can be used as a delimeter of some sort in VBA.
I will be eternally grateful for some insight here! Very lost as of now. I've attached a sample workbook below.
Thanks a ton,
Will
