Smile Look up a value based on multiple parameters

    Hi everyone. Im new here!

I have a question that is not directly related to excel skils, I think - or maybe it can be solved by a smart code in excel, let's see

I'm having a model of a room in a program. This model has 6 parameters, that each have around 15-20 discret values within a specific interval.

Every combination of these values will give a diffrent simulation output, that I convert into excel. I will use marco to make the values in the rigth order everytime.

Here comes the probelm: I want to make a program in excel, where the user are able to tab in values in a roll-list for every parameter (these are roomwidth, WWR%, orintation and so on). Then I want the excel to know what specific outputvalue it is gonna show in the result based on the users choise.

Have any of you tried this before, or does anyone have a good idea of how to do this the smartes way?
I was about to make a IF statement for every combination, and what cell it was gonna choose then, but it would take like 20 years to get it done that way :D

I hope this makes sense, otherwise just ask :-)

Rikke - Denmark (sorry for my english)

Moderator's note: Please take the time to review our rules. There aren't many, and they are all important. Rule #1 requires good titles. "Excel programming" would apply to every thread in this subforum. I have updated it for you this time because you are a new member. --6StringJazzer

This may not require a macro. Can you provide a file showing a sample of what your data looks like, what input you want from your user, and the result for that input? See yellow banner at the top of the page.
