sharepoint upload sticks on "Uploading to SharePoint" but still uploads

I see this question has been asked a couple of times on stack overflow and mrexcel but no answers to those two threads.



I run a report using macros and save them into SharePoint.

In this process there is an intermittent issue where as it starts the save process it stalls when the "Content Type" dialog box appears, it then moves on and the "Uploading to SharePoint" dialog box where it stalls. If I let is set for a few seconds and click the X on the dialog box the macro finishes and the file actually is saved to the proper folder.

however the stall is a problem as it defeats the process of automation by requiring the human to click close, and slows a process that we need to do many times a day.

code that it stalls on is just the basic save to a file path (which is the sharepoint path) code.
