    Strange problem with AutoFilter

Attached is a much reduced sample of what I am trying to achieve.

I am trying to filter 3 tables to show ONLY blanks via a button on the sheet.

I am getting a strange result, the first table filters out 1 of the blank rows but leaves in a row that is not blank.

If you click on the filter symbol at the top of the column it shows that it has been set correctly, when you click on ok it shows correctly, but the other 2 tables are then incorrect.

    What am I missing?

    Re: Strange problem with AutoFilter

After filtering table 1, rows 5, 6, 8 and 10 are visible, others are hidden. BUT when you filter table 2, row 5 will be hidden because N5 is not blank and row 7 will be visible because N7 is blank.
If you want to filter blank cells in all 3 tables, you can use a helper column and filter on this column.

    Re: Strange problem with AutoFilter

    Hi, thanks for your help.

In Table 1 I get 6, 7, 8 & 10 visible, so I thought each table would hide only the table row, it seems it hides the whole row!

Can you explain how would I go about using a helper column for this?

You cannot filter blank cell in each table if the tables have same rows. Helper column just useful if you want to filter rows that have blank cell in all 3 table.

    Re: Strange problem with AutoFilter

Ok, thank you for explaining that for me.

In the "real" sheet I have buttons to take the user to each table, so for the user, it dosen't matter where the tables are, so, I think I will stagger my tables buy 500 rows, that should work.......I hope.
