Hi,
I've tried searching the web and can't find anything to help with my query. I have a workbook I've been using for over 15 years. It has always been password protected to open. At some point, probably about 10 years ago, I added some VBA to it, including a command button to launch a UserForm. It's worked fine ever since. Just recently the control button (ActiveX) stopped working & in the Developer tab, you couldn't deselect 'Design Mode'. I added a 'Forms' control button & that gave an error message about macros being disabled. I have the location of the spreadsheet set as a trusted location. I didn't use the spreadsheet for a while, and the only thing I can think that changed between it working and not was a change of anti-virus from McAfee to Avast. I have set Excel to be an allowed app in the Avast Ransomeware Shield settings. Doing some further testing shows that this is only a problem when the spreadsheet requires a password to open. If it's not password protected the buttons work fine. I would like to keep the password. I wonder if anyone has any suggestions, please? Thanks.
