Execution Log For Large Excel Workbook

I have a refresh-able workbook (not created by me) which my company uses extensively. The workbook is refreshed daily, and on refresh the workbook hangs on "Updating Cells" for up to 15 minutes at a time. Sometimes this cases excel to crash altogether.

Is there some kind of execution time log through VBA or some other method where I would be able to see where the problem is coming from? I am trying to avoid rebuilding the entire workbook, but it's clear to me that there is some kind of major slow down with the use of formulas somewhere in the workbook.

In what way refreshable?

How many sheets? How many rows and columns in each sheet? Are the formulae complex? Do you use SUMPRODUCT or array formulae? If you do, do they have full column references? Do you use Conditional Formatting? If you do, do you add and delete rows?

Do you use VBA?

Can you share a copy of the workbook?



Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.
