How to move the cursor to a specific cell based on the contents of another cell

I have created a spreadsheet with 8 sets of columns and 1 column in each set has a sequence number, so sequence 1 may be on a row in the 6th set, sequence 2 on a row in the 3rd set and so on. On each of the sets of columns there is a cell on the same row as the sequence that requires data to be entered, depending on the next number in the sequence. Whilst I can use conditional formatting to highlight the next cell for data to be entered I can't find a way to make the cursor move to that cell on pressing enter. I would be grateful of any help. Thanks.

This will require VBA, if it is possible. I will move your thread to that section.

Can you, please, attach a sample file?
