Looking to sort a large Email list by a certain set of criteria...

Hello,

I have a somewhat large B2B email list that I'm trying to manage. (About 25,000 emails).

There are roughly 1000 companies in the list. Some of those companies are small and only have 1 contact to email, some are very large and have a few hundred contacts.


These are my needs:

A) I only want to email 200 contacts per day.

B) Of those 200 emails I only want to email a MAXIMUM of 5 contacts per day at the same email domain.

So, for example, if my list of 25,000 names has 500 Amazon contacts whose email addresses read "[email protected]" and I want to send 200 emails on Monday, I only want 5 of those 200 emails at MAX to go to "amazon.com" contacts.

Is there ANY way to sort a list according to this type of criteria?

Have you taken a look at Advanced Filtering within a macro, it may do what you need....

I'm not sure advanced filtering could get this specific one its own. And frankly, if it could I don't know how to set it up for this.

list of emails in column A starting at A2
in column B stating from B2

I guess you then move those "Y" to the bottom of the list or something.... so that you don't email them again right away. Of course that depends on exactly what you want.
