Building a Macro that will allow or disallow a cell from responding to a search function

Hello,
I'm still learning Excel and this is my first foray into the programming side of things. I'm trying to create a toggle or options button, preferably within the cell, that activates the cell to be found in a search function operating on a different sheet. It would be preferable if the button also changed the color of the cell to green. If this is possible I would be recreating the button dozens of times per sheet on multiple sheets in the book, each controlling a different cell.

I take it this is just not something that can be done?
