Hello everybody,
For the quiz questions, I tried using the circular method, but got a numeric, period or comma error?
So I tried using the solver to find the same solution I got, but when I entered it in the answer box, he always said incorrectly.
Any help would be highly appreciated and write the results here, why do I have to read the solution quiz because I was wrong? thank you.

The bisection method is being used to calculate the zero of the following function between x = 0 and x = 1.

What is the midpoint for the 3rd iteration? (The midpoint for the 1st iteration is 0.5.) Provide your answer rounded to the thousandths place.

For question 3, what answer did you get? What kind of root finding algorithm did you use (Newton, secant, bisection, other)? What did you use for your initial guess(es)? With an equation containing a ln() function, it would be easy to get errors if your initial guess(es) leads to a subsequent guess that is 0 or less, so what you choose for the initial guess can be important. The question says the solution will be between 2 and 3, so I used 2.5 as my initial guess in Newton's method and the solution I got was close to 2.5.

Question 5 seems to be testing how well you understand the bisection algorithm. What midpoints are you getting for each iteration after the first (as noted, the midpoint of the first iteration is 0.5, so what do you get for each midpoint after that?
