Smile macro to do a search of the text in column A and move 1 step to right for values in Col. B

    Hello,

I need help with my excel vba.

In Cell A5 I have "gross profit" and in cell B5 I want to put in a formula where it looks for "sales" and subtracts "expenses" which has the values in column B.

I want the macro to do a search of the text "sales" and "expenses" in column A and move 1 step to right to pick up values in column B.

thanks so much for your help!!!

    Re: VBA HELP please!!

Why do you need VBA? Sounds like a formula might do, maybe SUMIF or SUMIFS.
