How to combine these two files with VBA

Hey All,
I have two files. The first one has the data updated every month and needs this data to be updated to his output file using VBA. The problem is that in the first file I have a date range of two years, and in the output one only for a year. I would like to create a button function that will update items with reference to the date. The data is always in the same place in the same range in two files. But I don't know what function, where to start and how
