Paste the first value in a column to a new cell

Hi All.

I have attached a small worksheet which is part of a much larger workbook.

This sheet has a list of daily profit by name (Col E - Profit) and by date (Col C).

In Column H I would like to copy the first occurrence of values in Column C. That is only 1 date.

That way I could use =sumif formula to value (profit) for each date.

I hope this is clear.

Any help appreciated.
