Hi all, I am looking for a suggestion on what can be wrong.
I have several sets of tables that I append using PQ. On the whole everything is fine, except for one set. Each set is made up of two tables only to give me a resultant table.
The source data is two tables.
The headings are the same (because they have been copied/pasted).
The Data structures are the same in the both tables. PQ determines the same data type in both tables.
So all looks good.
However, with this one query, there is one pair of columns that PQ does not want to recognise as being same, despite the headings being copied/pasted, and the data type being the same.
So what happens is this....
Where table 1 is appended to table 2 ie the last row of table 1, meets first row of table 2, the column headings are not recognised and so an extra "null" column is added to the resultant table.
It does not mater which way I join the tables, the result with the extra column is the same.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Jeff
