Get personnel shifts from a scheduler, add them to a "daily view" and store the data

    Hi!
I THINK i'm in the right sub forum here...

I've been working a few years with trying to get my hospital ward where I work to become more digitalized and ease our administrative workload and it's time for the next step - leaving the analog daily planner that's written by hand from an excel sheet with our different shifts each day. (This quickly becomes a nightmare trying to decrypt handwriting and changes...)

I'm posting a small example of what i'm doing and would love it if someone could point me in the right direction. I've hacked some things together with endless hours of googling and youtubing, but i'm stuck now!

    Problem 1.
I have a "scheduler" sheet that contains all personell on a 10 week rotation that repeats over the year unless someone quits, is hired etc etc.
Each shift is named "a"(a1 if weekend) "c"(c1 if weekend) and "v" representing day/evening/night-shifts.

I have a "daily view" that I want to fetch information from the "scheduler" to and get everyone working "a" to get their name in the "Day" field, "c" in to the "evening" field and so on, based on what day is picked in the "daily view" sheets date-picker.

    Problem 2.
The "daily view" needs to store this data, not only read from the "scheduler", since each person is assigned tasks that needs to be retained the whole day, and also needs to be possible to plan ahead like "Bjorn is sick the rest of the week" or "Bjorn needs to do this thing next week" and so on.

I've managed to create a date-picker using some VBA from youtube, but I don't even know how to begin writing the formula to search the "scheduler" based on the date chosen in the "daily view" and to store the data to be retrieved again.

    All help is much appreciated!
