    vlookup in power query

hi, i am trying to find what the syntax is for the vlookup function in power query? i want to add a custom column to a table where the new column looks up an employee id and returns the name that is in another column. in regular excel it would be vlookup(a1,a:e,3,0). thx

You would use the combine functionality to join two tables with an outer join.

    Re: vlookup in power query

it wasn't a real solution. i just imorted the data into a table and added helper columns with the lookups i needed. when i have more time i may try to do it the right way.
