My settings:
my security setting is set to warm me about suspicious activity when my anti virus is inactive or out of date
the issue:
I get the "A program is trying to automatically send e-mail on your behalf. Do you want to allow this?" message when trying to send emails - sometimes.
I know I can get around this using CDO (or with an auto clicker). So my question is not about how to directly resolve it but about the way that this error seems to not occur all the time despite how I have a lot of auto emails doing a lot of tasks in various ways (it only stops on a small sample of them.)
Since I imagine this is a common thing that comes up for us - I wonder if anyone has better insight than me as to what the criteria is.
maybe Microsoft gets worried about the ones that send multiple emails in quick succession ? or send from unsaved documents? or add anything complex to the body of the email? or is it a bug in the anti virus or related to something like the send clashing with something the virus scanner is doing?
I can trial and error thins but maybe someone knows better.
