Trying to automate a few things with VBA

Hello all,

I am trying to solve something hopefully simple that I am overthinking. I have attached the workbook for reference, what I would like for it to do is:

1. Select a range of dates in column G
2. Check for a like specific string in column D based on the selection in column G
3. Sum like matches found from column F
4. Create a new row under the selected cell or cell(s) and highlight it grey
5. Put the sum of like matches found in the new row in a new column H, and if multiple keyword string found, put them in the correct cells accordingly....

Can this be done?
