Disabling RIGHT-CLICK Paste on specific range

    Hello!!

I have a worksheet where there is a Pivot Table that spans from Column A to Column B.

The Filters of the pivot table are from A4:B11

A13 reads "Sum of Credit Amount"
A14 label is "Item ID" and "Total" on B14

The items in the pivot Table begin on A15 and the Credit Amounts on B15 accordingly spanning down to whatever length the Filter Section is allowing for based on Filtered selection(s).

Part of the functionality of this particular sheet is to Copy one (or more) of the Pivot Table's Item ID numbers to Paste somewhere else on the sheet.

    My PROBLEM:

Some of the people who use this sheet have basically ruined the pivot table by Pasting this information within the pivot table instead, overwriting the proper Header Title which should have read "Item ID". See image attached.

I can easily solve this by re-typing "Item ID" over it but i would like to avoid having to police this file so closely daily.

    My Question:

Is there a VBA solution that would prevent RIGHT-CLICK paste anywhere on Columns A or B?. I realize this may be tricky because it's a pivot table living there.

    Any help would be appreciated!!

    Rob

Could this not be achieved by locking the cells in that range?

Locking the cells won't do anything unless you protect the worksheet afterwards, and when i do I get a Runtime Error 1004 saying Application-defined or Object Defined error. Even after checking the option to let a pivot table function when protection is applied.

I was thinking for in terms of vba code where RIGHT-CLICK PASTE is disallowed, but RIGHT CLICK COPY is allowed for Columns A and B.
