    How to Create a sheet that people can submit and will populate another sheet

    Hello everyone,

    I am trying to create a project management sheet that can be used to track projects. There is 100s of different projects so what I wanted to do was create an excel sheet that the Project managers could enter specific data into, and it would auto populate into another excel sheet that tracks all the data that they entered. Is the best way to do this through use of a form or how?

    Hello and welcome to the forum.

    It all depends on how far you trust people to add information to the worksheet directly without screwing things up.

    Either let them freely add data to a simple 2 dimensional table (you can always protect cells containing formulae that may not be changed), or use a data entry form with code to guide the process and prevent unacceptable values, which when correct is written to the worksheet.

    We really need to see the sort of data / information you want to capture as well as how you wish to see it presented to be able to comment further.
