On file open hide protective marking command bar

Hello everyone,

On ‘Workbook_Open()’ I need to hide our “protective marking” command bar.
To be clear, just this one, not all.

I have tried this but it doesn’t work:-

Administrative Note:

Please update your profile from Excel 2003 to Excel 2013. Thanks.

We would very much like to help you with your query, however you need to include code tags around your code.

Please take a moment to add the tags. Posting code between
Please Login or Register to view this content.
tags makes your code much easier to read and copy for testing, and it also maintains VBA formatting.

Please see Forum Rule #2 about code tags and adjust accordingly. Click on Edit to open your post, then highlight your code and click the # icon at the top of your post window. More information about these and other tags can be found here

(Note: this change is not optional. No help to be offered until this moderation request has been fulfilled.)

Re: On file open hide protective marking command bar

Hello Phil:
I really don't see how this will work
The code that you want to hide the "Protective Marking" is not going to run until you enable the macros ... and you can't activate the macro's until you click the "Protective Marking" banner
I.E. No macro is going to run in the workbook with the banner ... so how can you run code to get rid of the banner ... unless you've clicked the banner .... sorry am I just not getting what you want
