Design Mode in Developer doesn' work

Hello everyone, i am new here, i have a question. I try to make a form in a sheet (not userform) and i put a button and a combo box. I already activate Design Mode but, when i click the button, the Control Properties still consist sheet1 properties. How can i find control properties for button (like visible, enable, caption, name)?

The name of the control would suggest that is a forms control and not an activex control.
Only activex control will appear in the properties panel when in design mode.

With the control selected if you press the Properties button do you get a dialog pop up?
