    Formula for an other cel

Hello so i want to do something i've never done (as a excel user) i've been looking in this for some hours but i can't find anything.
What i want to do is have a 'list' (just the names of things in cels under each other, and then the cel right to it a number) where i can change the number using this [look picture]
    "i.imgur.com/vJSJq7P.png"

So i select the name with the list and use the two arrows on the right to change the value up and down. So for example using Big bertha has a value rn of 6 i select "big bertha" in the list where also other names are listed and change the value using the arrows. But i also want an other name changed. so i'll do the same thing. I want then that the amount thats in this sort of list "i.imgur.com/yLITj97.png" of big bertha change to 7 and when i select and other name it'll keep the change of big bertha and i can change the others.

If anyone has an aswer to this please give me help, i wanna figure this out. If you have more question pls ask so i can give you more info of how i want it to be.

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

Re: Formula for an other cel

Did you read the instructions I mentioned? Here they are:

Fast answers need clear examples. Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...) and some manually calculated results. For a new thread (1st post), scroll to Manage Attachments, otherwise scroll down to GO ADVANCED, click, and then scroll down to MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and click again. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

    Is this what you want?

    In D2:

    =INDEX($B$2:$B$45;MATCH(D1;$A$2:$A$45;0))

    In Dutch:

    =INDEX($B$2:$B$45;VERGELIJKEN(D1;$A$2:$A$45;0))

    https://en.excel-translator.de/translator/

    How do i do that?
Why do you need the selector box at all? If you make cell D1 a drop-down list, they can choose from there and it will all change automatically.

No idea what you mean. I've read your opening post again and confess I have no clue what you are actually trying to do here. Sorry.

    Yes, I understand now.

You will need VBA for this. Shall I move the thread for you?

Visual Basic for Applications - code. It will be OK as long as you aren't running your workbooks in a browser. If you are, then you are not going to be able to do what you want. I'll move the thread now.

Yes and that's fine, then. Now you'll need to wait for a VBA expert to take a look.

    Check it out.

Hard to explain if you haven't worked with vba.
Open the workbook and enable macros
    select the name
click the up or down arrows to adjust amounts.
